Marc A. Hetzner joins Galbraith, PLLC as a Partner in the firm’s Indianapolis and Naples offices. Mr. Hetzner began practicing law in 1983, previously with the Krieg DeVault Alexander & Capehart, an Indianapolis-based law firm.
Mr. Hetzner emphasizes his practice in the areas of estate planning and administration for wealthy clients, many of whom owned substantial closely-held business interests. As partner, Marc will offer a high level experience and knowledge in all areas of estate panning including income and estate tax matters as well as succession, gift, tax and charitable planning strategies.
Mr. Hetzner has tried tax cases before the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. District Court, the Indiana Tax Court and argued tax cases before the Indiana Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a past Chairman of the Tax Section of the Indiana State Bar Association and former Inaugural Co-Chair of the Indiana Estate Planning and Administration Specialty Certification Board. He is also a past Chairman of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Section of the Indiana State Bar Association and past Chairman of the Estate Planning Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association. Marc is an adjunct professor at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and teaches Estate and Gift Taxation. Mr. Hetzner is a Fellow of the American College of Estate and Trust Counsel. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army from 1975 – 1979.
Mr. Hetzner is admitted to practice in both Indiana (1983) and Florida (2008). Marc is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court (1983) and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana (1983).
